It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

These days I catch myself humming “I want a hippopotamus for Christmas” and I smile.  It’s difficult not to be in a good mood.  The office has become quieter as things start to slow down, and everyone seems to be off on vacation.  There are shiny Christmas baubles everywhere you go.  The streets are lined with sparkling Christmas lights.  Our Christmas tree is up.  I’ve gotten all the presents wrapped in shiny paper and pretty ribbons – no need to jostle with the crazy last-minute Christmas crowds.  And I finally feel like I now have a little time to stop, breath and reflect.   I can’t wait for Christmas 🙂

I only like hippopotamuses
And hippopotamuses like me too!
