“We travel not to escape life, but so that life does not escape us” – unknown
2013 was blessed with lots of travel opportunities. And with them came adventure, new experiences and wonderful memories.
So it seemed fitting to end the year, and kickstart a brand new one with another short getaway to Fukuoka.
Fukuoka is fast becoming one of our favourite travel destinations. A comfortable 5 hour flight from Singapore, just a short 2 subway stops from the airport direct into the city, home to the famous Ichiran and Ippudo ramen chains and a springboard to day trips around Kyushu island – we are in love with Fukuoka. And oh, did I mention the amazing shopping?
Our year started with good food, lots of fun and great company. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the year! Here are some of my favourite snapshots from my phone.
