  1. I’ll bet you are if it’s helping you take shots like that! He’s like a Cartier brooch, all burnished gold and finest Art Nuveau filigree for the wings. Yes, I’d be over the moon if I could take shots like that. Which lens did you use? Hand-held or tripod?

    1. Thanks for the wonderful comment πŸ™‚ This is the regular 18-55mm lens that comes with the Nex-5. Hand held and we took over 20 shots before we finally nailed it!

      1. Thank you for your encouraging words. I’m beginning to realize that taking photos is hard work! πŸ™‚ We ended up sun burnt while trying to get this shot.

    1. Thanks Cara πŸ™‚ It does look like gold doesn’t it? Funny thing is, when we were shooting it, I thought it looked a little boring as the dragonfly was just a regular brown one. It’s amazing how the sun reflected off its body. We also didn’t realize how hot it was until we went home a little sun burnt! πŸ™‚

      1. Hi hon. Don’t worry…I just deleted it because I don’t feel like it anymore. Maybe one day again. It really kept me too busy and my housework and other interests were neglected. But I will visit you or at least try. I see WordPress changed a few things again. Because I don’t have a blog I can’t change my notifications. That is so silly. Anyways, have a great day. πŸ™‚ *hugs*

      2. Aw .. I’ll miss reading your blog, especially about Simba and the monkeys. But I totally get it. Blogging has been taking up quite a bit of my time too. But I’m sure I’ll still see you around. And when that day comes that you decide to blog again, please let me know πŸ™‚ *BIG HUG*
