This pretty little farmhouse set against the backdrop of Mt Yotei was a welcome pitstop on our drive from Hakodate to Lake Toya. This was especially since we had driven more than an hour out from Hakodate when we got onto the wrong highway and found ourselves driving BACK to Hakodate with the next exit about a half hour away. Argh!! We ended up spending more than 3 hours on the road and when we arrived at Lakehill Farm, we were both hungry, tired and cranky. Tempers were soothed the second we saw the charming farmhouse, field of pretty flowers and the fantastic view of Mt Yotei. Now, every time I feel stressed out, I think of that big, open field and piece of Autumn sky and immediately I’m in a happy place.
