This unique little fella is a Quokka – a distant relative of the kangaroo and they can only be found on Rottnest Island. Imagine our delight when cycling through the island, we bumped into a couple of them just hanging around on a hot afternoon. Tame and incredibly friendly, they came right up to us, made friends and went on to inspect our bikes and bags! 🙂
